BuzzFeed’s Chocolate Chip Cookie + Brownie + Oreos

Hello everybody!! On this week’s post I want to try out one of BuzzFeed Food’s video. It is a combination of brownie with cookie dough and oreos. I followed the video’s instructions and used pre made mixes.

When I first saw the video I thought the comments were overrating the dessert. I had to try it out. Check out the original video here:

If you want me to share recipes from scratch for the brownies and chocolate chip cookies please leave a comment down below.

Happy baking,

1 brownie mix (And the things the mix calls for)

1 chocolate chip cookie mix (And the things it calls for)

Oreos (enough to cover an 8×8 baking pan)

-Prepare the cookie dough according to the instructions and and spread enough to fill 1/3 of the pan.

-Cover with oreos

-Add the brownie batter

-Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes

My opinion:

This was a success at school! The people who saw the video were very interested in tasting the brownie. I no longer believe it is overrated, it was AMAZING!! You might wanna add a scoop of ice cream to it.

My only concern is that the cookie dough is not a chewy as I personally like is. But other than that is is a really cool dessert! Hope you try it out yourself!

Banana Cake and Update

For today’s blog I made a banana cake recipe. I hope you enjoy?

Funfetti Dark Chocolate Chip Blondie

Hello everybody. I’m back sharing recipes! I’ve decided to share with you guys both, recipes and reviews of restaurants. So I’ll be going back and forth between those two. I’m really excited about sharing with you guys this recipe.

I really loved the idea + I’ll be adding sprinkles to make it look colorful. I really hope you enjoy this and future posts. I’m looking forward to sharing more.

Happy baking,

1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour

1 tsp of baking powder

1/4 tsp of salt

3/4 cup of granulated sugar

1/2 cup of room temperature unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 tsp of pure vanilla extract (way better if you have vanilla bean paste)

1 egg

1/3 cup of milk

1 cup of chocolate chips (usually for blondies I would use white chocolate chips, but I felt like using milk chocolate chips.)

4 tbsp confetti sprinkles (if you can’t already tell I only had Christmas and Valentine’s Day sprinkles but I combined and turned out just fine)

– Preheat oven at 350°F and spray with nonstick cooking spray an 8×8 baking pan – In a small bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt

– With an electric mixer cream together the butter and sugar, add the egg and vanilla until combined

– To the butter mixture add the dry ingredients and milk. Then add the chocolate chips and 3 tbsp of sprinkles. Mix until combined, there is no need to over mix! (There is no need to mix flour in the chocolate chips, the batter is thick enough to hold them in place)

– Spread the batter evenly on the baking pan and sprinkle the remaining confetti sprinkles. Pop them in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until they look golden brown or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

– Let them cool for 15 minutes and enjoy!!!

La Jungla Grill Guatemala City

Hello everybody! This week’s post is a little different than usual. This past 5 days I had a break from school and visited different restaurants around the city. My favorite one was La Jungla Grill.

I really liked it because it was a healthy alternative to every day meals. Everything was cooked on a grill in front of you and you got to say when you wanted them to take your meat of the grill  it was very personalized.

The environment was very cool, everything was made out of wood and the waiters were very people-oriented and quick thinkers. The chef was also very nice and came out to greet guests and ask what they though of the food. It was an incredible experience.

I ordered a Ceasar Salad with chicken and they grilled the chicken in front of me. They overheard that we were there to celebrate my birthday and once they had cleaned up the table from our meal they brought me an amazing chocolate mousse.

It was very smooth and you could feel the taste of real dark chocolate. He added a strawberry sauce and nuts. They also hand wrote happy birthday on my plate. The mousse was not served cold and I am pretty sure they had just made it.

I really recommend if you come visit Guatemala City you give this restaurant a try. I will leave the address below.

13 c 5-72 zona 10. Guatemala City, Guatemala.
